Floors that have grout or are textured have a tendency to “collect” soil in these areas. It is important to flood mop this type of floor regularly, to remove the embedded soil. This is done by using extra water to float the soil and suspend it in the water, then remove excess water and soil. Mopping this type of floor in this manner helps keep it looking as clean as possible.
Procedure: liberally apply mopping solution. This will allow dirt to “float” into the water. This should be enough to have slight puddles. Thoroughly wring out mop and remove the excess dirty solution from the floor. To fully remove all dirty solution you may need to go over the floor more than once with a “dry” mop.
