When cleaning common areas such as entries, lobbies, reception areas and hallways, it is important to pay close attention where the floor meets the walls.
Look for dust and dirt that tends to accumulate along the edges. Rather than using a dust mop or a broom, use a backpack vacuum, with a proper brush head, as this will make it easier to clean along these edges.
When performing this task in hallways, inspect room “cut outs” along floor edges. These “cut outs” are where rooms have their own individual entry into a room.
Also, pay close attention to behind doors that may always be in the “open” position.
